- navegatorExplorerI prefer the Mississippi mud beer!
But I will take jour word for it. that calculation gives me a headache, congrats on the anniversary, you do not know what you have until they are gone, so treasure her forever.
My dad told me that one plus one equaled two,
but if I was not careful it would be three.
navegator - Now I can measure down from the actual top of the frame to see exactly how much space I have available for drawers.

As you can see, we have 30 - 21/32" available to be split up between the drawers. Round numbers would be 30 - 5/8" for the drawers.
If I would split them up into 4 equal size drawers, ( I am not), I would divide the 30.656 - (30 - 21/32) by 4 and come up with a number of 7.664 inches for each drawer height, which will allow 1/4 inch spacing between drawers, including top and bottom spaces.
If I wanted to make it easier, I could use 7.5 inches for each drawer, which amounts to 30 inches.
The remaining space would amount to about 1.875 inches, or 1 - 7/8 inches for round numbers to be split 5 ways, which would allow or 3/8 inches spaces between drawers
This is talking about the drawer frames, and not the drawer fronts, which are typically a little larger than the drawer frames.
As you can see, it makes it very easy to split up the area for drawer height - which is assuming you followed what I am trying to say.
Hope that is a little clearer than mud. - In order to make things easy, I marked off the bottom area.
The left black is at the very bottom.
The green # 1 represents 1/4 inch of space between the bottom of the frame, and the bottom of the bottom drawer.
The first red line on the left, between the # 1 and #2, represents the bottom drawer.
Green #2 is again 1/4 inch of space between the 3rd and 4th drawers, since I will have them 4 high.
As you can see, the green numbers represent spaces, while the red lines represent drawers.
What we need is a total of 5 spaces for the 4 drawers.
- What we have here available is, 31 - and a strong 7/8".

- I started my calculations today for my drawer sizes. This is the measurement for the available space for drawers - height wise, that is.

- Finally able to cut full length pieces of plywood for a change. Been a long time since I could do that. Yay!
I told my wife today, "hey honey, I found some inexpensive, very lightweight drawers for the motor home". That will allow us to carry more weight.
Yea, she wasn't all that impressed either! Lol. PastorCharlie wrote:
Congratulations. How many years? Wife and I celebrated our 61st last year.
Thanks. This one was # 49. Married at 18, so I am still in my 60's.
Whispers from the crowd ..... (Well, that explains a lot - old fart alert)! Lol.
Finally about done with the major spring cleaning. I am setting up the table saw to be able to cut my pieces needed from 8' plywood. (Part of the spring cleaning needed).
Since I will need to cut a bunch of different stock throughout the rest of the build - I figured I need to be able to run 8' long stock through the saw, which I have been unable to do for a while due to constraints in the garage/shop area.
So, I think I should be able to get started cutting drawer parts tomorrow, (fingers crossed).- PastorCharlieExplorerCongratulations. How many years? Wife and I celebrated our 61st last year.
- Since today, the 25th, is our wedding anniversary - I was informed, there would be no work today.
Just a day to relax, have a special meal, and visit our son and daughter in law.
So be it. LouLawrence wrote:
Reviews of the product elsewhere on the web has not been good long term. YMMV!
Hopefully, that won't be the case. Time will tell.
With that in mind, I am reminded of the review on Amazon from someone who purchased a large stainless steel pot.
For the most part, the reviews were all very good, except for one. She gave it 1 star. The interesting thing was the reason for giving it such a low rating.
The pot had a sticker on the outside, and it was "very difficult" to remove, in her opinion, so it was given 1 star.
Really, I thought? I thought the reviews were supposed to be about the pot, not the sticker! Lol.
Go figure.
