I took her out there tonight, and we've been discussing it. I'll have to take a picture from one of the front seats, as it will tone it down a bit.

Yea, it's a little dark there, but it's kind of deceptive, due to when I took the picture. It was starting to get dark and I did not have any lights on.

I have an updated picture tonight, which shows it with more light.

Too small. and you are making it look smaller. Usually prefer to not comment, but now you are getting into the good stuff! show your wife, with and without.

I agree with Bill. The kitchen is already dark, with no windows back there. The stone on both sides just makes it darker.

That might be too much. Kind of looks like the kitchen is in a cave. I understand what you're going for but not sure I like that.

Personally I would prefer real wood over fake stone.
