And if/when you decide to change out the wallpaper, what happens if it's under Por 15?
Since the Por 15 would be smooth, just cover over top of it, just like you would if you were covering a painted wall.- WanderlostNomad IIAnd if/when you decide to change out the wallpaper, what happens if it's under Por 15?

Has nothing to do with stone. Has to do with wallpaper. Think of the possibilities of sandwiching wallpaper in between coats of Por 15.
Wonderful protection from inside or outside elements, with a top coat of clear coat to protect from the suns uv rays.
Think vinyl wrap with a twist.....- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIStone is not shiny. Not sure what you are trying to accomplish.
- Final test was to apply some 3M #78 adhesive to the plywood, wait a few minutes to allow it to become tacky, then apply the wallpaper on top of that.
Next step was to apply 2 coats of Por 15 over top of the wallpaper.
Again, no cratering, and the wallpaper has a wonderful shiny coat. Would obviously need to be top coated with some kind of clear coat to protect it from the sun damage.
After looking at that for a little bit, I thought.....
"Things that make you go Hmmmmm".
It really makes the wallpaper look like a million bucks, (so to speak). This may have some additional possiblilties.
I haven't tried Lacquer or any other finish over top of the wallpaper, YET! Hmmmmm......... - Next one is a piece of wallpaper, that was applied to dry plywood, and then a coat of Por15 applied over top of the wallpaper. There was no cratering, and we now have a shiny surface.

- Next was done at the same time, and Por 15 was applied on the plywood, wallpaper applied, then a coat of Por 15 over top of the wallpaper.

We end up with the same cratered effect, but this time, it's shiny! Lol. - This is a case of "what happens if I put a coat of Por 15 on a piece of plywood, and then apply a piece of wallpaper over that, while it's still wet"?
This is what happens....
As you can see, it cratered pretty badly. Nothing was applied over top of the wallpaper. - Some days, a person's mind may wander a little bit, and one starts to think.... I wonder what would happen "IF" .........
Here are some results of one of those days......
This is a close up picture of a small piece of self stick wallpaper. It was stuck to a piece of plywood, and that's it.
- Finally got around to putting some Por 15 on the driver side counter top. Starting to look a little better.
