I don't know how I did it, but I cut this side of the drawer a little too narrow. It was not high enough, and would have allowed the drawer to droop more than I wanted when pulled out.
I wanted about 1/16" clearance between top and bottom, and somehow I ended up with about 1/8".
With that, I had to cut another piece that fit properly.
Drawer front and rear to be made tomorrow. NOT the drawer front cover, ok?......
This will be the left side drawer slide and side of the drawer.
I added a shim on the right hand side to keep the drawer from hitting the frame for the rear window cover.
It's not glued in yet, but should be tomorrow.
That was not a surprise, I knew I had to do that.
I managed to build part of the next drawer in this line. It didn't quite go as planned, but I got part of it done.- There used to be an old saying, "win some, lose some".
OR...
Some days you are the bug, some days you are the windshield.
Little of both today. - I haven't built the shelf yet, but I do have the drawer bottom cut close to the size I need it.
After putting the template for the washer in place, it dawned on me that this next shelf, which will be about 5-1/2 inches high, might be a wonderful place to possibly store the wife's "puttin' on her face items".
That would allow her to pull the drawer out - use what she needs - then just close the drawer. Outta sight - outta mind!
Not set in concrete, but it might be a possibility. I'll have to check with the other half later.
- When adding the support below the shelf, I kept the blocks right where I was putting in the screws to make sure there was no movement, and that the shelf would slide smoothly when finished.

- Started the process of installing the next shelf at the back.
I used a couple of blocks to make sure that the runners are the same distance apart.
The runner at the top supports the shelf above it, and will also keep the next shelf from sagging.
- Hey! Talk about being ready to go camping and fishing!!!!

Fair enough. For fun I just measured the drawers in our kitchen. They're only a few years old, custom built by a friend of ours. The one I measured was 19-1/8" wide in a 19-7/16 opening. He didn't waste a lot of room.
I can only assume that the 19 - 1/8" is to the outside of the drawer sides?
Also, what is the thickness of each side of the drawer?
With numbers like that, is the drawer supported with under drawer slides as opposed to slides on the side of the drawer?
Thanks for the numbers.
