- koda55ExplorerWe will be traveling tomorrow. leaving Florida for PA.
- jsmartExplorerWe're heading north from Seattle area to the Bellingham area, short trip. Here in the NW, if we didn't drive in the rain, we would never go anywhere. Safe driving all.
- John_S_Explorer III left early because they are expecting snow. I am now sitting int he rain 132 miles south of my house in the grands backyard. I will drive int he rain but usually try to avoid the major interstates when I do. By major, I mean I 95 or I 81 not stuff like I 68 or even I 80 or 90 past the Mississippi to the west. No traffic there to speak of for miles but they get snow depending on the time of year.
But if it is a short trip, leave early and get there. - 09FLSTCExplorerI'd go but have to convince the ole lady ;)
- doxiemom11Explorer IIAs fulltimers, we do not travel when it rains either. Having worked for an insurance company for many years I can tell you that the number of traffic accidents go way up. People drive too fast, hydroplain and lose control, or can't stop soon enough for traffic ahead stopping. It's the other drivers we don't trust.
- J-RoosterExplorerNo, since I retired in 2010 I don't RV during Holidays!
- bsinmichExplorerDon't you have wipers? My MIL always was upset when it would rain. I always assured her we had a fancy car with windshield wipers. Be thankful it isn't snow.
- gsf35099ExplorerNot traveling Turkey day, but leaving mid day tomorrow for a short run to an RV park about 200 miles away then back on Saturday. Took the the coach out today after leveling all the tire pressure to top off fuel & propane. Sooooo looking forward to getting out. Haven't been out since June. Been having a new garage built to put the RV in.
- wannavolunteerFExplorertraffic will be lighter on Thursday than Friday, and rain should be completely gone by then.. thank goodness it will be ending here tomorrow as I have to go out and put stabilizers down and then move into TT as I give my bedroom to DD and SIL as pack n play fits there better. I don't mind staying in TT and it gives my tall SIL a bigger bed than the RV queen in TT.
- mockturtleExplorer IIYes.
