I use a Vespa 300 GTV, Weight is 320# and it will run at 80 MPH. I can keep up with local traffic but I never run near the top speed. it will carry two easy and has ample storage for cameras and limited amount of grocys. I made my own Hitch carrier with a reease 18" extension and extruded alum. rails. with the extension I can still hook my car towing hitch and tow Honda CRV at same time. That was why I made my own scooter carrier.
Make sure you have ample riding experience and you have to ride on the defensive at all times, because Car drivers will not watch out for you. Ware highly visible jackets and helmet so you can be seen. and stay off of the interstate.
Don't worry about RV park saying no scooters. they are talking about riding around in camping areas. of you are going from M/H to gate no problem...!!!! they just don't want people running around in camping areas for the fun of it.
P.S. My Dr. said that sense I am 80 years old this month and have Afib problem I should quit ridding my scooter. Wy wife says same thing, (Party coopers) So guess I will hang up my spurs and shapes and drive the CRV. But i will be dammed if i will quit going camping......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as long as i can hitch that CRV up.......!!!!!!!!!!!
