I may be a little different but, I like a campground that has rules and enforces them. If I don't like their rules, I either don't go there or leave.
Wawaloam Campground sounds much better than a campground with a page of rules and they're not worth the paper they're printed on.
My humble opinion.
Now tell us how many times you read over each and every rule at ANY campground BEFORE you have checked in and they then hand you the sheet with the rules printed on the back. :B
O.K. I will tell you. We do, as we travel with a dog. Of course, we expect to pick up and keep him on a leash. But I want to see if there are breed, or size restrictions, etc.
The rules for this campground are readily available on line. It is a compilation of, in writing, of many common rules I have seen many times before, with a two or three exceptions. They just normally are not all listed at once, so the rules sheet seems long and abrasive.
Wearing of helmets under age 16 is a matter of law in many states. I have seen campgrounds that sold them, and they were accused of "making the rule to increase sales." Can't win either way.
No reuse of plates at a buffet is a health department rule.
From what I read here the enforcement can be better, and much more diplomatic. The management sounds "worn out" and "cranky."
I personally would have no problem with the rules, but a big problem with how I am treated as a customer.
