OK and so far, it's been what I expected with the pros and cons. I feel that some of the most severe cons might have came from CG owners themselves who will always side with the business owners. Some with negative comments will still bypass the place when in the area and just like to disagree with any poster's comments. Thanks to Mike Brez for posting the note and for some reason didn't readily see how to do that on this forum. Yes, I posted it more than one place and no I'm not really apologizing, except maybe for giving them so much of my money. I have gotten over it and moved on a long time ago, but still felt the need to post my feelings on this one, which are usually of a technical nature.
I agree that most people don't read all the rules before checking in and in most cases, these rules are for when things get out of hand and not to be nitpicking your guests to the point that they feel uncomfortable.
I agree with one poster who indicated that they could have been more diplmatic about it and at the end of the day, the thing is, that all the RVer's in the world can do without Wawaloam CG, but Wawaloam can't do without RVer's. In fact, they wouldn't last no time with a lot of competition in the same general area and just try to imagine having this kind of business attitude in a town like Myrtle Beach, SC.
I don't own a campground. As a matter of fact I indicated most don't enforce rules. In your case they did. That is what "you" have a issue with. Did you pay the fee? If not you got away with what the whole purpose of the "note". By the way I thought the note was well written and spot on.
You haven't gotten over it because your still trying to sway opinions by this last post. What it boils down to is some campground have rules they enforce. Those campers that don't like rules or have no intentions obeying them think because they get away with it at "most" places they visit, this is the norm everywhere. Then when they get caught they complain about a probably well run campground.
Your post might have done the opposite from your intentions, as I would have no problems staying at any campground that actually enforced their rules, including this one. I don't think you really get it.
