"I guess my question is, isn’t that the same problem that could exist with every used motorhome you buy? Whether it be an individual or another dealer, sounds like those warning flags would still exist across the board and be waving in the wind for any and all purchases, correct?"
Not necessarily so. Yes, purchasing any used RV (especially something as complex as a DP) involves some risk. It is up to the buyer to minimize that risk. We have bought two used DP's and ended up with good coaches in both cases. Both were bought from reputable dealers.
My rules for the dealer: Will only consider a one owner coach. Will only consider if dealer can put me in touch with previous owner. Must have service records. I did my own inspection since I have owned RV's since 1985 but if I were you, I would find a qualified independent inspector for any coach you consider.
I would run away from that coach and dealer based on your posts. Take your time and do more looking. Do your research and find a better dealer. The Dynasty was a well built, high end coach in its day with a lot of complex features. However, if it was not properly cared for, it could be a money pit nightmare. Also, all DP's are rolling money pits, IMO. We love ours but it is not cheap to keep.
