You are delusional if you think you can buy this motorhome at the price you mentioned and BE AHEAD. NEVER HAPPENS. Except on those Home Flip shows, which they NEVER show you the dogs they lost a lot of money on, only the ones they made a profit on. NADA is NEVER accurate. AND, if NADA is close, WHY would this dealer sell so cheap? You have no idea what kind of expensive things could be wrong with this Hi Line OLD unit. Doug
I was basically joking and being funny when I said that and I think most who read it understood that, but since you opened that door, allow me to retort!
I have absolutely NO clue why you are so negative about buying a class A from this dealer, but maybe you have been screwed many times in the past??? LOL. But you have been very negative from the get go and I think that may just be your personality and assumption that everybody is looking to screw everybody. And though you will laugh at this, I also believe there may be a tad of jealousy involved at the price I’m getting it for.
That is all pure assumptions on my part. From this point forward it’s not. You are filling in a LOT of blanks with bold assumptions and weak speculation that’s based upon absolutely nothing at all, but a salesman who is probably exactly like 85% of every salesman in every RV sales lot across America!
NADA is not the end all Bible no doubt, but it is a base to work off of and to discount it and throw it out the window as if it’s totally irrelevant then leaves you with what exactly to figure out the value of a motorhome? Your gut instinct? Hairs on the back of your neck? Little devils on your shoulder?
It’s close enough and accurate enough to give you a decent idea and a fair concept of price to work with and if it says $236,000, you can’t just ARBITRARILY toss it out the window based upon absolutely nothing at all other than your “opinion” that its not accurate!!!
If I had to decide between a company who probably puts in a fair amount of work and man hours trying to determine values of vehicles vs the “shoot from the hip” opinion of somebody on a forum, i’ll side with the professionals every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
But personally I believe it’s extremely presumptuous and arrogant to just scream out and lash out that the NADA values are incorrect as if you were a walking encyclopedia of 2009 model Monaco’s.
The book exists for a reason and it’s used by almost everyone for a reason. So yes, if I’m buying something for $60,000 LESS than it says it’s worth, I am going to put some weight on it!
