Are Newmar coaches constructed better than others?

I saw a Youtube video extolling the virtues of how a Newmar is built so much better than other makes. That the walls are thicker fiberglass and the studs are 16" on center, with insulation going through the studs as well. That they are easier and to heat and cool, and quieter than other makes, due to the thickness of the walls and the insulation.

Has anyone had experience with Newmars vs other makes and proven these aspects to be true?

Depends on the list of manufacturers you are considering and the model of Newmar. In general I would say yes. Solid reputation and a quality coach. If I were in the market for a new coach it would be a Newmar, for a used coach it would be a Country Coach or an American Coach.

When selecting a used coach, it's all about condition and previous owners care.
  • We've had our coach 10 years, We can't complain about its quality. we haven't had a single interior cabinet issue, every latch, hinge, still works perfectly. The rugs are still in great condition, the only appliance issue was a furness igniter.
And the big plus is.... they still support it with any part we need.

  • Yes, Newmars are constructed slowly and carefully with care and are constructed very well. We had no issues with ours for 8 years of constant travel while full-timing.
  • I have been looking for some time now and the only thing the newmars have over the entegra cornerstone is the steering assist. the entegra has all wooden floors that help it to be quiet on the road. I am not sure which one to get myself. I like the steering assist but would like it to be quiet as well
