Good point, those hospital parking lots really start filling up at 1:00 in the morning.

Yes. Good point to raise. I am lucky as we live in gated community with 24hr security and rv is in locked up compound at night.
Oh, we own a home in the county/suburbs on a very private wooded 2 acre lot amid recently built McMansions but rent it out so we can live in the city where we can walk to restaurants and shops; we love the excitement of the city and think it is well worth the occasional theft, and needing to lock our doors and garages. Actually, my aunt had the adjoining property in the country/burbs and while she was gone robbers broke in and stole everything that wasnt nailed down. My philosophy is "if you got it, they see it, they want it, they will get it." - NCWriterExplorerAnd now we know why it can be hard for patients' relatives to find parking spaces at the hospital.

There are other reasons for not wanting decals, distinctive or brilliant paint jobs. I park my RVan on the street at home. I dont want somebody driving by and see anything that would lead them to consider there was anything worth stealing. We have had 3 trailers stolen off the street, neighbors have their tool trailers broken into as well. Flash attracts unwelcome attention.

Fastpaddler, are you saying that you think I and others in this thread are lying? Why do you think we aren't just what we say we are, and just like you -- people who have no interest in hiding, but also don't like advertising and sqirliques on or rigs? Why is that so odd?
No one used the term "lying" nor intimated it. What I have stated is pretty well shared by others. Some rvers want to be 'stealthy' and not be recognized here and there and some don't mind. Some like to have all those decals all over and others, like me, remove them. You would therefore share my view re there being no need to have them on an rv. In fact, many rvs are now coming to market without them. I have seen a few. I think Davydd has the ultimate stealthy type.
No offence to anyone implied nor intended.

We looked a little stealthy here. :)
Nice pic of your new RV. Is that "stealthy" or maybe "wealthy"
Al - BudJExplorerCSG, before my B I thought that stealthy was important for me. It turned out that it is not as necessary as I thought. Many of the places on my list will work for a small Class C and some of them, any RV. For example, small airports and very small airports. Free, and there are reasons for an RV to be parked there. Heck, sometimes the police will deliberately patrol them.
Have fun analyzing your needs and shopping for the B or whatever RV.
Bud - CSGExplorerBud, between you and me, I'd rather have the 190! Stealth isn't my biggest concern; creature comforts are. As I get older, I miss a couple of creature comforts the Traverse lacks (like an installed toilet/shower). I've looked long and hard at the Sprinter conversions as well as the Chevy/Ford 190 conversions. I'm not there yet but am getting close!
