Aux battery tray in a sprinter

I have a 2011 sprinter with the aux. battery mount located on drivers side. I would like to mount One more in the eng. compartment to give me two batteries. The Pleasureway plateau has only one battery and is located in the eng. bay. I've been told that the eng.bay heat is not good for AGM batteries. The battery bracket located on the drivers side should be available from the Mb dealer for a high price.
