Aux start not working

I had a low battery on the 2003 winnebago adventurer, so I tried to start with the emergency start swith...I did not get any power..Where should I start the troubleshooting??Bud

  • What I did was while holding down the emer start switch I turned the key to start but there was no extra power ....The house batteries are good and in the connected mode...Thanks for replys....Isnt there a relay somewhere that I can check for voltage???
  • Just a shot in the dark here: Are you sure that at least one battery bank is fully charged? If neither is charged, you won't get any results from the emergency start switch.
  • I found, and it was echoed by others on here, that you may need to hold the switch down for a minute or so BEFORE attempting to start. Made the difference for me.
  • check the house battery disconnect switch...in the stairwell.Maybe house batteries are gone to....check with meter.Should be 12.4 or so
  • Did you continue to hold the aux start switch depressed while attempting to start the coach? It's just a momentary switch, not an ON/OFF thing. The switch simply picks the solenoid/relay that bridges the batteries together for charging.
