awning let down lever stuck/frozen in down position

I've had ours stick like that and been able to get up on a ladder and twist the whole roller back and to a little while tweaking the control lever.

What Brand? We have a Carefree with a "remote control" slide device that eliminates an awning rod. That sucker is a source of binding. I've never had trouble with an awning with a release control lever that requires a rod.

Otherwise, WD-40 and keep wiggling it!
