Follow the directions by installing the bottom attachment first, then locate the upper attachment point. fit perfect first time.
I installed said clamp on last two MoHo's, Easy install and easy to use once you get the length correct.
Directions? lol - 4x4vanExplorer IIII have indeed had an awning start to unfurl while driving in high winds. Not only did we almost lose the awning, but it was a royal PITA to get re-rolled while sitting in that same wind; almost impossible with just my wife & I since it had to be partially unrolled and then re-rolled to get it straight. In 40-50mph gusting wind! After that incident (first trip with our current RV), I fabricated my own, nearly identical clamp, installed near the front of the awning.
Downside to mine is that the latch is on top, meaning I must go on the roof to secure/unsecure it (no, the twig is not part of the latch :)). But, it's a small price to pay for the peace of mind. My awning will NEVER come loose while driving, no matter the wind. - 45RicochetExplorer

Then you must not have traveled in high winds! - StraboExplorer

Yup same here. :/ - cross_countryExplorerbesides locking the ends, I cut a 5" inch length (approx) of PVC pipe close to the diameter of the roller. Then take out approx an inch or so (not a complete circle) and snap it over the roller. I used 5 of them on a 20 foot awning equally spaced.
Probably a PITA but it worked for me. One only has to have an awning unfurl while still in place to not want it to happen again. - Tom_BarbExplorer

Your one lucky sumich.
You must not go to high wind areas. like Wall Texas Tuesday afternoon. or like Deception Pass bridge when the west wind blows. - FiverwheelExplorerWhat am I missing here?
