It all depends on the voltage, Burl. You could have a 100 amp charger but if it doesn't put out high enough voltage it is meaningless.
The Parallax has no settings. It has some logic built in regulating the amps output, but not the voltage.
The Sears charger I'm sure uses a higher voltage, because it is built exclusively to charge batteries. The cheap OEM converters are built to provide clean coach power, and charge batteries in a so-so fashion.
