You are onto something. I've been out taking measurements.
Apparently there is something like a Trik-L-Start installed.
When there is charging going to the house battery, the chassis-house relay is powered. But at least on mine, when everything is off, that relay is open. I have to make a drawing with my measurements, and then see if we can find a tech wizard here to tell us what we've got.
