Good point about cooking the house battery, Burl. A better converter charger would not do it, but ours would over a period of time. BTDT with a different RV, but same charger.

When taking the TL out of storage, the step did not retract upon starting the engine, because the house switch was in the off (Storage) mode. So I caught the step on the building door opening. :M
Actually I forgot all about the step being out. But that's what the Kwikee design is supposed to take care of. If it has power. The old step is ruined and I'm waiting for my new one to arrive. In consulting the gurus here, I decided to take the advice of wiring the power from the chassis so it is always available. I did test the draw and it only draws a few milliamps to stay ready.
