PS Burl. There were some funny short lived voltages across the upper solenoid, which would lead you to believe the chassis and house batteries were always connected. Then I'd hear the solenoid click, and the reading would be 0. So maybe this mystery charging logic thing is keeping the solenoid powered for a few seconds. And if you took your readings right away after cutting the charge, it would show as connected. But from what I could see, the batteries are not connected when everything is off.
