My overcab one is bad, and a few are peeling at the corners. The heatgun is a helpful idea. After hearing some of the sanding, buffing, spraying details from John in the post I just linked to, I see an overall color change like he did on his Vanguard (it is not a TL, I now see), I would need experienced help.
