I'm almost ready to install a little fold-up shelf that fits with a piano hinge onto the edge of the sink area counter. The directions are clear, the parts are all here, the size etc is perfect for the task.
Since the instructions list type "A" and type "B" install, of course ours will require a type "C".....our counter top has a plastic edge-molding that rises slightly above the top surface, and about 1/2" below the bottom. In either case, it blocks access of the piano hinge to the counter top.
I just visited with a retired master finish carpenter I know. He advised the approach I outlined before, as being the ONLY possible way to do the job.....
Off to the home-tool store tomorrow!!!
Oh, the cataract surgery went VERY well and I'm 48 hours postOp. Seems to be working as intended, while my pupil is still a bit dilated.
I can shop for tools but not quite ready to do the project yet.
