I appreciate seeing what you're talking about. I've been somehow unable to access this thread the past few days due to some kind of computer hiccup.
The squeak I mentioned with the TV, responded well to careful positioning of several rubber shims made from old heel lifts.
The photo above shows wood panels the same tone as mine...."birch" they tell me.
We have not yet been brave enough to unlimber the awning. It seems 'unused' as the prior owner never rolled it out and said the original never did either.
I supposed doing it at home for inspection would answer a host of questions.
It SEEMS much like any other we've had, and they all are about the same operation.
Still, "if it ain't broke yet, it's hard to fix; or 'if it ain't broke we're gonna fix it until it is'".... or some such.....
