I agree with Burl. I took mine off and was glad, but then DW wanted to try it next time we were out. I did use it a few times, but I could have easily never purchased it. If you do remove the awning, remember it's spring loaded. Google the removal process and pay strict attention to the spring section. I also removed all the mounting brackets when I removed mine and discovered, in typical RT fashion, some of bolts screwing into next to nothing.
Some of those overhead squeaky's are from the cab roof contacting the front overhang. BT Cruisers had a bad time with that for a while, In addition, a few wires were just laying on the cab roof. I used rubber shims and a liberal amount of silicone to fix it, and it stayed fixed. I never had noise from the flatscreen, only the tube tv which, after jumping out of the box after some bad jolts was not sticking around long at that point.
