When we bought our 213, it had sat for 2 years. The second trip out with it, we had a similar experience. On ours, the fuel pump had died. Without any gas treatment in the tank for those 2 years, the mechanic thought the gas had broken down and ruined the seals in the pump. Fortunately we were near the shop which would do the work, but we first had to sit out the weekend. Once it cooled down, we were able to drive it to a campground, then back on Monday for the fix. They had to remove the driveshaft to drop the tank. Terry had them dispose of the remaining gas and clean the tank, then put in the new fuel pump/filter and 10 gallons of clean gas. It was about a four hour fix and about $800. Now when we store it for the winter, he adds gas treatment to it.
She works fine now. Did Alaska the next year without a hiccup.
