2wheelluge - Sorry that I have no direct experience, but I do know that you can purchase pipe heat tape that will work. I have merely laid it in gutters to thaw ice and to keep snow melt from backing up under the roof and leaking into the house.
Here is an example - Heat Tape at Home Depot. You would either need to plug it into the campground power pedestal or run your generator. It merely keeps the pipe you wrap at around 35 to 40 degrees. It will not feel hot at that temperature.
