Finally burned the starter motor out on my unit.
Replaced that and put a distributor cap and rotor into my previous non starting MH and spayed the intake with cleaner. To my surprise, it started up, ran rough at first. Left the battery connected this time. Started it a few times during the week, then drove it 200 miles last weekend without a problem...
FYI - Saw a service bulletin on the 5.7L Chevy Engines from that era that showed the distributor housing screens being susceptible to clogging up. A cleaning is recommended. Mine looked clogged. It has ~27K miles, but it is a 2001.
Still trying to get the courage to replace the fuel pump as a PM maneuver.
