Hello from OKC to all. Great news, I just got back from 3,000 more miles and had no problems until it got over 103 degrees. Above that temp, I had to run the Fridge on gas until the Main A/C was up and running. I don't run the AC on the road until later in the day when we stop for lunch and I want to keep the cool when the truck is shut off. The compressor would blow the 20 Amp breaker. No real problem once I figured it out. Slept cool as a cucumber last night with outside temp indicated in the high 90's till early in the AM. Bud's says lots of folks have called with a similar problem, with this much heat, it takes more amps to start the compressor, and the fridge automatically switches on the AC element which increases the load as well. Once the roof AC is up and running and everything has cooled down, I switched over the fridge to AC and the compressor cycled off and on as designed. Thought folks might like to know the easy fix if this happens to you.
Now for the GREAT news for all of us die-hard supporters of the Trail-lite B+. Every one was interested to know what, if any, changes would be made by Monaco. I just left the Trail-lite Factory Wednesday this week, and saw with my own eyes, Trail-lite B+'s with Great Big Blue HR stickers on the front over cab and also right next to that one was a Safari B+. Apparently Monaco thought enough of our GREAT little campers to market them as main line Safari and Holiday Rambler products. Look for them in your local dealers next month as 07 models. For all the folks who really wanted a HR or Safari, but do not want to spend over 100K, they can now buy a nice B+ for a reasonable price and tell their neighbors it is a new Monaco/Safari/Holiday Rambler and we who buy the Trail-lite nameplate for 8 to 10K less will keep our little secret ;)
