Thanks for the recent AC + high temps + fridge heads-up. We went on an overnighter and with the compressor running for hours straight in the 95+ afternoon, the breaker tripped. I remembered what you just posted, put the fridge on gas, reset the breaker, and we had cool again! Very timely and helpful, and I would not have known that the compressor draws more amps at higher temps (is it cause the hot air is less dense and thus harder to compress?)
CharlesOK, thanks also for the great Monaco product line news.
I am not very good with understanding lightning and related grounding issues - yet the natute of RVing makes it a real concern. We had a strong thunderstorm on our trip and there was lots of lightning. Is there a need to shut-off the roof AC in a bad lightning (we did for a while)? Does this electric thing running just over our heads that is plugged into a post just outside somehow create a great electrical danger - worse, say, than when we are in a normal residence? If so, would using the generator make things better or even worse?
karebear. The quality of the TL 251 you are looking at seems to more than justify a full $35000 price. As a TL owner and potential seller someday, I would like to think that my RV is worth a fair price, and that others would see its quality and agree. By keeping fairness in mind, both parties can feel good about the transaction.
