Gene, Thanks for the tip. I have not mounted the rail yet and will do so after a few trials with the VLX and some C-clamps to hold things in place till it balances right with 10% on the tongue as you say. Unfortunately the tongue length was set by the designer, but I will measure just the same to see how close it is. Probably easier to achieve with a boat trailer I should think.
Here is the kit I bought. Parts are well made and steel quality is very good. I had to drill two holes and my drill press had a tough time getting through.
