gkreutzer - That is quite a trip. You mentioned staying in various campsites. We made several shorter trips this year - about 4,300 miles total. A couple were longer loops (Omaha-Chicago-Manitowoc-Elkader-Omaha) and (Omaha-Yellowstone-Denver-Omaha). After 22,890 miles, our average is just a shade over 12.0 mpg. Have been known to stay in parking lots at Wal-Mart, hospital, apartment building, and casino. By the way, I do like your idea about the adhesive strips.
