We've used a cover every winter, protects against snow, freezing rain here. Bought it at camping world, but can't remember the brand. It has a cottonlike lining so no abrasion, also breathable. I couldn't find a cover specifically made for a B+ so bought one for a small C. Only have to do some minor folding across the front since it is a little large. A hassle? Not really, takes us about 30 min. to get on. In the spring we stretch the cover out in the drive and use a leaf blower on it, then pack it up in the bag. Worth it for us, but I guess it would be your preference. I don't think I would want to deal with it every week or so. No sign of critters in ours.
