I own a 2004 BT Cruiser on a Chevy with the 6 liter engine. I think this is very similar to the Trail Lite. I also bought mine used. Check with your insurance company to see what the replacement value is. I think anything under 30 grand is probably a pretty good buy. We like ours very much and find that 12-13 mpg is doable on a trip.
