Cheeze1, I have no professional experience just a long love of all things RV. I'm glad your experience with your Chevy chassis is a good one. That is the experience I am looking forward to having as well. I'm hoping my new unit will meet my needs, which aren't unique, just well defined after many years of experimenting with different RVs. I believe the class Bs and B+s have an advantage in handling and fuel efficiency with a lower center of gravity and some aerodynamics.
The unit being built for me hopefully has a better weight to (open)floor space ratio due to a new slide out mechanism that uses cables rather than rams or a rack and pinion. There is no required under floor framing for the mechanism. The motor and drive mechanism actually is above the slide out on the interior wall behind an oak valance. I was skeptical until I obtained the design and installation information from R Vision. Apparently Monaco is moving to use the same mechanism on it's larger units. I don't like to experiment or be the first, but this looks interesting.
I'm curious about your "Cheese1" moniker. How did that come about?
