cheeze1- I am trying a Dolphin Sonarstep on my Silverado.. I figured when I finally decided on which B,B+ or C I wanted, I would want a sensor for backing. So I went ahead and bought one and put it on the pickup...It worked great all through this past Wisconsin Winter (snow and ice didn't cause any detrimental effects) except for one bad ice storm which set it off, but all you have to do is pull the receiver out of the lighter socket and its quiet, and of course it only activates when you shift into reverse. It is stupid easy to install (or remove), which was a big selling point for me. If you Google the name, it's sold at several different places. Bought mine online at BigBoy's Toys for $179 and was very satisfied with the experience. It already saved my Butt once so its paid for itself. After installing I tested it by backing up to several things and it did as advertised. It even detected a steel fence post standing all by itself at the edge of a field, and that was about 5 feet tall but only 1.5 inches wide.
