We also had the exact same problem, so we purchased a single bed foam mattress. On our unit is just fits and makes the dinette very comfortable. It remains made up as a bed for evening or cat naps during the day. The jack knife couch does not reach the dinette edge on the model 211-S. So each evening, I unroll the 2" thick memory foam pad lay it on the couch toss on the pillow and covers and sleep comfortably. The pad is inside a sewn pillow case made from bedsheets. Easy enough to pull off and wash. It is stored under the dropped down dinette.
