Hello Chas, my jack was around $800.00. Whereever I RV I'm pretty flexable on the locations,if its facing uphill I turn the coach around, I have never had any issues with side to side. I attend lots car shows and its normally in a field that I have to park, so I just find a good side to side level spot and raise the front if need be.
