MacmanWork - Welcome to the forum and this thread (topic) that has been around for quite some time. We also love our Trail-Lite and are trying to keep it a little bit of a secret and we don't want to brag and change our luck.
On the generator, I would (as was suggested) start the chassis engine and use the emergency boost switch to start the generator. You might also check the grounding of the generator. When you jump to the generator with cables, chances are you brought over a good ground with a booster cable. Keep us informed on what you have tried and we'll come up with more suggestions.
