Our van is old, however, we couldn't find the "B" that suited our needs and our pocketbook so we made one to suit us. She slept crosswise on the converted dinnett/bed and I slept lengthwise on the floor until we decided on this.

Beds stay made up all the time and we seldom convert to a Queen sise and seldom use the table. TV trays or outside piknik table works for us. Great storage above the cab--room for Freezer, etc.
We have traveled coast to coast in the 1988 RV and love it. We are old and frugal but still enjoy a good time.
