Cobra, easy to find Pyle on Amazon. Thanks for the tip!

Bumpy, I searched Sam's for that camera kit and came up zippo. Please post a link to it. Thanks!

it is a thinkware dash cam x500 at a local Sam's club. don't know if it is on line.

went to sam's club site, put in thinkware x500 dash camera and nothing. don't know why it is in store and not on line??? you can see it on Amazon, cheaper at sam's as it includes rear camera.

  • I have a Pyle Brand from Amazon for around $50.00. I have had it for 5 years now and am satisfied with it. It is a small 3.5" screen, but does well for backing. I think whatever you buy will do the job. Mine is a wired unit.
  • well I talked myself into spending $250 on that back up camera. has a rear camera also (wired), has red light, speed camera, lane departure, closing distance, etc. warnings.

  • Do you have a fancy DVD radio in the dash with a big screen? Many—probably most—of them have an input for a backup camera. If that's the case, you just need a camera and the wiring, which should be less expensive than a whole setup.

I don't have any specific recommendations, though. If you do drive or maneuver at night or twilight, you might want to give some consideration to what sort of low light performance whatever setup you end up with gives.
  • don't know about breaking the bank but Sam's club has a $250 dash camera with rear camera also. lots of stuff, red light camera warning, etc.

  • I have a Garmin BC 20 backup camera on our 5th wheel. Works well in combination with my Garmin RV760 GPS
