When my dad was the first guy in town to by a generator and place it next to the house - everyone in town laughed - until the first ice storm.
I liked going to school in Fayetteville better. They got real snow, and fewer ice storms than farther south.
I also spend 11 days in east central Mississippi while I was in the Navy with no power from an ice storm.
