"D.E.Bishop"....hello from a couple of hills west of you! My neighbor has the Five Star tune in his V-10. I just asked him what has to be done to get smogged. In California, Five Star recommends removing it for the smog test and then reinstall. The neighbor says he will try it next time without removing it and see what happens.
Since everything is pretty much computer controlled, I would call Banks, explain your situation (new owner) and ask them if the shfting is normal or if there are some steps they can walk you through to make sure everything is working correctly.
