Marty, I found mine on Ebay and it was only a couple of hundred miles away. I live in Savannaha and the guy was stationed at Warner Robins AFB.
I bought from a private seller. Because I bought it in the state i live in I didn't have to pay sales tax. that saved me big bucks. Dealers with charge you sales tax.
The guy owed money on it. So I went to my bank and they took care of all the pay-off paperwork for me for free. They just took the money out of my account and wired it to his credit union. He got the difference between the payoof and the $18K...which was under $1K.
My bank got the title in a couple of days. They called me and I took it to my registration office and put it in my name.
