I believe the Allison was put in the workhorse chasis in 2003 or 2004. I think it was put in all the workhorse chasis at that point.

My transmission guy that does all the servicing on all my vehicles told me the GM Tranny is just fine. It's a heavy duty transmission anyway. I took the RV to him right after buying it and he flushed the tranny and added new fluid and filter for $150.00. Cheap investment
