The 2002 I had was on a W22 chassis with an 8.1 and Allison four speed. Two things improved the handling; Koni FSD shocks and Saf-T-Plus. Yes, get a document saying the recall was done.

You can determine if the chassis is a W22 by (I think) the third digit of the vin number being “5”. As I recall, a “3” was for W20 chassis.

A 2002 should be well within your price range. Happy hunting…
