Given your surprise as to what I have, I wanted to be sure I got good information on my 150 amp alternator claim so I called a second Ford dealer parts department. He told me I have a 115 amp alternator in my rig. So then I called a 3rd who confirmed 115 amps. I was sure for each person to clarify their numbers including that first 150 amp guy.
So now I believe my alternator is only 115 amps, and is NOT going to cut it. I will see if I can find a reliable high output aftermarket alternator recommended by a local ambulance outfitter.
