Cost will be a factor for me.
Browsing around on that American website, I could not find the price for the alternator I pointed out, but I did see others listed at over $900. I was thinking $300-$350 is reasonable budget.
I did email the company with a brief description of my current situation and asked if they offered a product of less amperage (160-200) than their 270 amp alternator, a direct bolt-on & plug-in that is much less expensive.
I wonder what the part number is for that Ford OEM 225 amp ambulance alternator. Maybe a Ford guy can find out for me. That seems a good choice. Is there any concern in having an 225 amp alternator, like say an over-load on wiring during a high demand condition?
What are your thoughts about THIS 220 Amp alternator, a reputable name brand.
