My 130 amp does a fine job on 875 amp-hours of flooded battery bank.
Well Ron, ..... that just about clinches it for me. Stay with your 115 amp Ford OEM alternator from a raw capacity and single-alternator reliability viewpoint.
However, from an ultra-reliability equipment redundancy viewpoint if you want to boondock a lot, you might want to have a Ford service department install another 115 amp alternator using all OEM components so that you have duals.
But .... before you spend too much time thinking about ultra-reliability .... remember that a regular vehicle will go quite a distance down the road running off just the chassis battery if the alternator should be blown. But with your Class C motorhome and a blown alternator ... you can go a LONG WAYS down the road by holding ON, or using tape to hold ON, your battery boost switch so that your chassis electrical system is ALSO getting power from your coach batteries. Now run your built-in generator while traveling along to keep both the coach AND chassis batteries full (by having the boost switch in the ON position) and wala .... you can travel with a blown generator until you run out of gas.
At least in theory my Itasca will do the above, and probably your Phoenix Cruiser will do the same. :C
