Is this as easy as running a #6 gauge wire directly from the alternator output to the pos post of my house batteries? I have never seen more than 5 amps going into my house batteries while driving with the batteries at 50% SOC. I have a cheap volt/ammeter with a shunt for the house batteries but nothing for the chassis batteries so I can't tell if the chassis battery is taking most of the charge first and its not getting to the house side or my meter is not accurate.
