AGM batteries do not seem to deplete too much while sitting idle. I bought a 10w solar automatic 'Battery Tender' and leave it hooked up. It has a built in controller.
It works well mounted on my snowmobile trailer keeping my AGM sled batteries topped off while parked off grid. I have used it passing the cable thru my basement window to charge them at home as well. There are many brands of this setup on the market at varying prices.
